Morning Day 5
Good morning friends and family! Sorry about not getting a post up yesterday. It has been an emotional past day. After leaving Bemidji, Minnesota yesterday we had intended to ride the 50 miles to Brainerd, MN where the 112 mile long Paul Bunyan Trail ends. We only made it about 17 miles yesterday before we had to stop due to some excruciating pain I was having near my groin (hope it's not torn) we were able to mosey our way to a camp site in the small town of Pine City and have been camping in their city park. Yesterday we were very fortunate to come across Terry, a man whose been traveling the world with the clothes on his back for the past 23 years. We spent the night around a fire with Terry listening to the stories of his travels, and just having friendly conversation with him. It truly was amazing meeting someone like him who has given up all material possessions. It really makes you think about what truly is important in this world. We are not sure if we will be riding today or not. All depends on how my groin is feeling. We are currently posted up in our tent listening to the rain fall lightly and birds chirping away this morning!
