Free and easy down the road we go!

We have decided to camp in Pine River another night. After my visit to the doctor this morning and refusing to take the steroid he suggested (He didn't know our blogger name) I've been given some pain killers. Elliot and I enjoyed the afternoon relaxing in the sun and taking a stroll around this peaceful little town. My injury forcing us to stop in Pine River has been a blessing in disguise. It's completely mind blowing how generous people have  been here.

Yesterday Elliot walked into the visitors center when we first got into town to look for an area for us to set up a tent. The man noticed our Aberdeen Bicycle Club shirts. His brother works in the building across the street from my mother in Aberdeen. Today while in the park a very sweet women approached Elliot asking if he was the cyclist from South Dakota. As I walked up to her she began to say "Us South Dakotans have to stick together, I'm a marshal county girl." She left her name and number in case we needed anything. About a half hour later she returned with a plate of oranges, cherries, and some bars for us to enjoy. Denise S. you may be the nicest women I have ever met. Elliot and I cannot thank you for you enough for your kindness and generosity. Denise went straight home and back to bring us the plate of food. The world needs more people like you, we are so thankful to have met you.

It's hard to believe that not even a week into this trip we have been so fortunate in already meeting so many great people. We are looking forward to the coming days left in Minnesota and will continue to spend the rest of the night with our now good friend Terry. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet!
